Pokémon No: Lawsuit Filed After Tragic Pokémon Go Fest In Chicago

It is shocking for all Pokémon Go fans but true that a lawsuit has been filed after the tragic Pokémon Go fest that took place in Chicago. The Pokémon Go fest was organized in Grand Park to celebrate the anniversary on completing one year after the game was launched and loved by millions of all across the globe.

Niantic, the Pokémon Go company organized the fest and Jonathan Norton who himself runs a YouTube channel with around 75,000 subscribers on his channel says that he flew all the way from Sacramento, California to be part of the fest. He said it was a bad situation from the beginning of the lines that extended up to 3 miles.

He said, that there were spills all around and all his friends ended up spoiling their shoes. They were having charging stations which merged in mud and water. Some people were trying to plug in while others warned them not to plug in, he added.

It was a nightmare and the participants were not able to play the game, according to the case filed. The lawsuit blames Niantic for failing to handle the huge crowd present during the fest. The crowd was nearly in the count of 20,000. The lawsuit also claimed that there were some technical issues with the software of the game along with some technical issues in the venue that made Pokémon Go unplayable.

According to the lawsuit filed against Niantic, fest organizers had claimed that all those who attend the fest would enjoy playing the game with thousands of players from all over the world and get a lot of rewards, prizes, etc.

The lawsuit has asked for reimbursement of lodging and travel expenses for people who attended the fest. Let us wait and watch how Niantic reacts to this whole situation.
